Service registers play an important role in the life of employees. In earlier days, the establishment peoples used to give particular care for the safe custody and updating of the same. But,I feel that it is not so now a days. I cannot imagine the situation of missing an SR. Now we can examine the entries in the SRs. But there should be some provisions to spare the copies of pages of SRs to employees periodically (if necessary - at the cost of employee), so that this copies can be used in case of any unfortunate situations. - I hope the IRTSA will take some steps in his regard.
