Reducing Generation Gap Through Love, Affection & Friendship

I have lived major part of my life in the yesterday
But most of your life rests in tomorrow’s lap,
This difference we both know & understand
And the world has given it the name generation gap.

We have conflict of ideas many a times
Our perception, beliefs & values differ,
At times we are unable to understand each other
And have our attitudes becoming stiffer.

But we are both a part of each other
In me you have got your root,
And in you I see my life continuing
The tree of my life has got its fruit.

Let us then revive mutual love & trust
And become friends at whatever cost it takes,
For friends overlook each others shortcomings
And forgive the gravest of mistakes.

Let us keep aside our differences
And try to live in harmony thus,
For we may belong to different period of time
But the present belongs to both of us.
