SOME MISGIVINGS ABOUT MAGABUCKS

Er. Aman has posted a mail to our Team-mate Er. Debashis Mukhopadhyay, which pertains to some misgiving about the use of MEGABUCKS - the wondrous Pay Calculator, developed by Mr. Arun Kumar Dey. The content of his mail are reproduced below:

"You did not show the column of fixation of pay on promotion, due to which this calculator is giving error in pay fixation. For example, I was promoted from JE (5500-9000) to SE (6500-10500) in May 2006, and my old increment month was Oct., and my basic pay was 7075 and fixed pay Rs.7100 on promotion, then I was given two increments in Oct. 2006 and my Pay was fixed at Rs. 7500. Please, rectify the mistake and please inform me."

In reply, our friend, Er. Debashis has clarified the position as under:

With the above criteria, I have checked up your pay and findings have been given in the attachment considering that, you have taken your promotional benefit from May'06 which is standard. From your mail it seems that you have given option to get the benefit from the month of your increment then in that case you have to enter your month of promotion as Oct'2006 and definitely you will get the right calculation.

So far your Pay or Arrear is concerned the Software is considering the "Month of Promotion" as when you get the fixation after promotion.

Please inform whether I am able to suffice your requirement and send a "Note of Thanks" to Mr. Arun Kumar Dey for his great effort to develop this Unique "Megabucks".
